In November 2015, I quit my corporate job in Los Angeles and boarded a one-way flight to Bangkok. I returned to California on May 11th, 2016, six months to the day later.
If there’s a way to concisely express the sum total of the thoughts and emotions related to those six months, it has so far eluded me. I’ll keep working on that. In the meantime, I’ve tried my hand at expression through a different medium: the hallowed video montage. And not just any montage — a poi video montage.
I first picked up poi in June 2015, a few months before I left for Southeast Asia. Since then, spinning has positively affected my life on a level far deeper than I ever thought a hobby could — and it led directly to some of the more memorable and vivid moments of my trip.
